Urban Heritage Gallery
For the final project, we had to focus on designing an Urban Heritage Gallery in Pudu within an urban setting. The building's design will include appropriate architectural responses that address components of the urban street context and user behavioural patterns identified and assessed in the preliminary studies. Aside from developing a narrative on architectural strategy in response to relevant questions about the local community and its urban context, the design should consider a holistic application of structural, spatial, functional, and environmental requirements when designing an urban heritage gallery for the community.
'A Renaissance of the Forgotten'
A Renaissance of the Forgotten is an urban heritage gallery that aims to ‘resurrect’ the neglected & marginalized elderly community of Pudu by synergizing it with the new. It is a human gallery that will ‘display’ the coming together of these opposing elements to create something greater than the sum of its parts. This is achieved via an emphasis on intergenerational programs, catering to evolving technological needs, & perhaps most importantly, bringing back Pudu’s historic charm & allure to maintain a purpose in modern Pudu.

Reflection
Project 1 was relatively a difficult one to complete, as we had such a short period of time. Not only did we have to come up with the structures, we also had to conduct research, create poems, study precedents, poetic architecture, concentric & linear architecture, and so much more. It was so draining to lead and be responsible for a large group of people while also tackling the project. In addition, I found myself having to complete my group's delegated tasks because i didn't have the heart to tell them their work was rejected by our tutors. Overall, i am grateful to have been placed in such a competent group, and i am satisfied with our end product.
