Space & Sensory: Self Exploration
through Spaces

For Project 3, we had to combine our experiences with Project 1 & 2 to to create a poetic architectural representation that through sensorial experience, expresses our personal journey as a first-year student in university. We explored material use by building a 1:10 scale model of an actual structure.

Intentions

Although she is comfortable, she is being held back from achieving her highest potential. Plunging head first into an abyss of the unknown; she has no choice but to conform to a completely altered environment in which she’s left alone to fend for herself. Once one acclimates to the contemporary ever-changing circumstances, she learns how exhilarating it is to no longer be bound to the chains of subservience. Breaking all ties of reliance as she finally reaches self-actualization.

Reflection

I believe i didn't do my very best work in the previous projects, so i put in a lot of effort into this final project to prove myself. I hope that all my hard work and time pays off, because although it is extremely demanding, I truly do enjoy studying architecture. During this project, I enjoyed brainstorming ideas while still respecting the project requirements, adjusting my work according to my tutor’s feedback, and model making. I was allowed to express my creativity through this project, and I can say I definitely learned a lot. I am slowly beginning to learn my strengths and weaknesses, and how i can apply this new knowledge in upcoming projects.
