Poetic Journey Structure
In groups of 8, we had to romanticize a typical Malaysian tropical beach and translate it into an intriguing narrative journey that will then be transformed it into 2 individual standalone structures.
Narrative
Everyday, I carry the burdens of reality,
Trapped in an endless loop void of any glee.
Never did I expect a tropical paradise in all its glory,
Along with its waves, to wash away all my worries.
The sight of the sea alone puts a spring in my stride,
Til’ my breath was taken by what's beneath the tides.
Coral reefs with hues of every shade,
And vibrant fish darting in a dazzling parade.
Before i knew it, the day had slipped away,
The sunset signaling the end of the day.
Stars mirror onto the ocean’s glistening guise,
Inciting me to follow suit and truly realize.

Reflection
Project 1 was relatively a difficult one to complete, as we had such a short period of time. Not only did we have to come up with the structures, we also had to conduct research, create poems, study precedents, poetic architecture, concentric & linear architecture, and so much more. It was so draining to lead and be responsible for a large group of people while also tackling the project. In addition, I found myself having to complete my group's delegated tasks because i didn't have the heart to tell them their work was rejected by our tutors. Overall, i am grateful to have been placed in such a competent group, and i am satisfied with our end product.
