Geometry & Form: Architectural Design Elements & Principles

Project 1 introduced basic understanding of the design principles, processes and approaches in generating ideas, developing design and translating it into form in a workshop based explorative studio. We expressed their ideas in varying dimensions (1D, 2D, 3D)

Reflection

This project was pretty difficult to me, as prior to taking this degree, I was mostly a science/math student. So it took me a bit of time to transition my way of thinking into a more creative approach.  My transition from pre-university studies to degree was definitely not the smoothest, and I did not expect it to be as demanding as it was. However, I enjoyed making the models and brainstorming ideas. It was fun to discuss ideas back and forth with my tutor, and to improve upon them. I know I definitely have a lot more to learn, and that this only just the beginning.
